African creators, educators and professionals are set to gain another avenue to earn from their knowledge and digital products following the launch of Haelsoft Marketplace by Nigeria based technology and digital marketing company, Haelsoft Digital. The platform is designed to enable users to sell online courses, ebooks, templates, freelance services, webinars, coaching programmes and consulting packages from a single online storefront without requiring coding skills.
The company said Haelsoft Marketplace was developed to address some of the challenges faced by African creators using digital commerce platforms built primarily for Western markets. The platform incorporates support for local payment methods, including mobile money and bank transfers, as well as a mobile first and data light architecture intended to make it easier for creators and customers operating in markets with inconsistent internet access to conduct transactions.
During its pilot phase, the platform attracted hundreds of creators from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa. Haelsoft said participating creators gained access to marketplace discoverability, creator tools, analytics dashboards, secure payment processing, community engagement features and security infrastructure, allowing them to manage the sale of digital products and professional services from one platform.
Co founder of Haelsoft Digital, Michael Ezeadichie, said the company developed the platform to reduce the barriers preventing African creators from participating fully in the global digital commerce economy. He said the company plans to introduce artificial intelligence powered tools for content creation and marketing, while also pursuing partnerships with telecommunications companies and educational institutions to expand access to creators in areas where internet connectivity remains limited.
