The Federal Government has inaugurated the Digital Government Service Portal, GSP, to provide Nigerians with a single online platform for accessing services offered by Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs. The initiative, unveiled in Abuja by the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, is part of the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda to accelerate digital transformation and improve public service delivery.
Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Engr Nadungu Gagare, said the portal, developed in partnership with Galaxy Backbone and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, KOICA, will enable citizens to access multiple government services through a single secure sign in, eliminating the need to navigate different agency platforms or repeatedly submit the same information.
Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone, Prof Ibrahim Adeyanju, described the platform as a unified digital gateway designed to simplify interactions between citizens, businesses and government institutions. He said the project would improve transparency, accountability, consistency and the ease of doing business by bringing government services together on one platform.
The government said the portal is one of the flagship projects under Nigeria’s e Government Masterplan 2.0 and is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce administrative bottlenecks and deliver faster, more accessible public services. KOICA commended the Federal Government and its partners for successfully implementing the project and strengthening Nigeria’s digital governance ecosystem.
