Nigerian education technology company, HiPrep, has launched Lumi, an artificial intelligence powered learning companion designed to provide personalised academic support for students beyond classroom and tutoring sessions. The Abuja based platform said the innovation builds on its existing tutoring model, which currently serves more than 3,000 families through a network of over 400 tutors, helping learners prepare for examinations such as WAEC, JAMB, IGCSE, GCSE, SAT and the 11 Plus.
According to the company, Lumi enables students to revise lessons, ask questions, practise concepts and receive instant learning support at any time. Unlike conventional AI learning tools, the platform operates within each learner’s personalised study plan, using an initial assessment to identify strengths, learning gaps and the most suitable academic pathway for every child.
HiPrep said Lumi complements its live tutoring services by promoting daily study habits, accountability and structured learning between scheduled lessons. The company believes the combination of AI support and one on one tutoring will improve learning outcomes while making personalised education more accessible and affordable for more families.
The company noted that Lumi is now available to users, with a wider rollout already underway across Nigeria. It added that the initiative reflects its long term commitment to bridging learning gaps and expanding access to quality education through technology driven solutions tailored to the needs of individual learners.
