Africa’s leading technology distribution and ecosystem development company, TD Africa, has intensified efforts to boost cybersecurity capacity across the continent through a renewed strategic partnership with global cybersecurity firm, Check Point Software Technologies, amid rising digital threats confronting businesses and institutions.

The commitment was reinforced during a high level management meeting between executives of both organisations, where discussions centred on expanding cybersecurity adoption, enhancing partner capabilities and improving enterprise resilience in Africa’s rapidly evolving digital economy. The engagement also explored opportunities for deeper collaboration aimed at equipping businesses with the tools and expertise needed to navigate increasingly sophisticated cyber risks.

Leading the Check Point delegation, Vincent Mabaso praised TD Africa’s contributions to cybersecurity development on the continent, noting that organisations can no longer afford to treat digital security as an afterthought. He stressed that as cyber threats continue to grow in complexity, businesses must invest in modern security frameworks and skilled professionals capable of managing emerging risks. On her part, TD Africa’s Coordinating Managing Director, Chioma Chimere, said the company’s long standing partnership with Check Point has strengthened its enterprise technology offerings and enabled organisations to build the resilience required to thrive in today’s digital environment.

A major outcome of the meeting was a joint commitment to expand training and certification opportunities for channel partners across Africa. By combining TD Africa’s extensive partner network with Check Point’s global cybersecurity expertise, both organisations aim to equip technology partners with internationally recognised certifications and advanced technical knowledge. The initiative is expected to strengthen the continent’s cybersecurity ecosystem, support digital transformation efforts and help organisations operate more securely in an increasingly connected world.
