At the time, she left a ₦150,000 monthly role as a content director to take up an ₦80,000 customer support position, prioritising exposure to the tech industry and remote work opportunities. Her entry coincided with the COVID-19 lockdown, which had disrupted her small business and limited income streams. While at Busha, Collins handled customer support during a volatile period for Nigeria’s crypto sector, including the 2021 Central Bank of Nigeria restriction on crypto-related transactions, which significantly increased user complaints and support demands.
Beyond her primary role, Collins developed skills in social media management through freelance work, gradually building a portfolio that enabled her transition into community management and later corporate marketing roles. She subsequently worked with startups including Mainstack and Grey before moving to her current role, where she oversees marketing campaigns and manages cross-functional teams.
