In a move set to transform Nigeria’s mobile accessories market, California-based MICRODIA has appointed MyHomeEtal Limited as its authorized distributor in the country. The partnership, officially launched in Lagos following a late-2025 agreement, aims to introduce high-quality, durable electronics to a market long dominated by sub-standard and “grey market” imports. With Nigeria’s smartphone-driven e-commerce and consumer electronics sector projected to reach $10.49 billion this year, the timing underscores the strategic importance of premium, reliable mobile solutions.

MICRODIA is entering the market with proprietary SMARTAI Charging Technology, designed to protect battery health and extend smartphone lifespan by up to 30 percent. Complementing this is SmartGuard Temperature Safeguard, engineered for Nigeria’s warm climate to prevent overheating during charging and data transfer. The launch also introduces advanced hardware to West Africa, including Intel-certified Thunderbolt 5 cables, Qi2.2 magnetic power banks with solid-state battery cells, and high-power GaN chargers, addressing the growing demands of content creators, professionals, and high-usage consumers.

Louis Leung, MICRODIA’s CEO, emphasized the significance of the Nigerian market, noting that the collaboration with MyHomeEtal would elevate industry standards, empower consumers with safer and more reliable products, and contribute to long-term market growth across Africa. Olawale Odu, CEO of MyHomeEtal, added that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and consumer trust, ensuring that Nigerians have access to authentic, premium electronics with manufacturer-backed warranties.

To combat counterfeits and grey market imports, all official MICRODIA products in Nigeria will feature unique serial numbers and registration cards, with full warranties available for validated purchases within two weeks. The initial product lineup includes the SMARTCube Nano 100W GaN multi-port charger for travelers and power users, the Qi2.2 solid-state magnetic power bank for wireless fast charging, Thunderbolt 5 cables for data-intensive users, and SmartGuard sync cables for high-temperature environments.

Founded in 1991, MICRODIA produces over 28 million units annually across six manufacturing facilities and distributes globally through a network of over 550 distributors and 250,000 retailers, while MyHomeEtal leverages a robust digital and logistics infrastructure to deliver these products nationwide.
