Technology stakeholders, policymakers, entrepreneurs and young professionals are converging in Benin City, Edo State, for GritinAI Connect 2026, a conference focused on moving artificial intelligence from awareness to practical application across Nigeria. The one day event, holding today at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, is bringing together more than 1,500 expected participants to examine how AI can contribute to economic growth and development.
The conference is focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in governance, education, healthcare, agriculture and the development of micro, small and medium enterprises. Its organisers say the event is designed to encourage public sector institutions and businesses to explore practical AI solutions rather than treating the technology only as an emerging concept. Discussions are also examining how AI can improve government services, policy making and public administration.
Business development is another major component of the conference, with startups and MSMEs being exposed to AI driven solutions and practical consultation opportunities. The programme includes an MSME clinic, AI solution showcases and sessions examining how entrepreneurs can use artificial intelligence to address operational challenges and create new economic opportunities.
