Tech4Dev has opened applications for the Women Techsters Sprint Programme, a new initiative designed to help women in Ghana advance from foundational digital skills to industry ready careers in technology. The virtual programme will offer advanced training in Data Science, Cybersecurity and Software Development, alongside mentorship, practical projects and career readiness support.
The initiative builds on the success of the recently concluded Women Techsters Ghana Week, which featured an Artificial Intelligence masterclass, employers’ roundtable and industry networking sessions aimed at connecting women with mentors, employers and digital career opportunities. The Sprint Programme is part of the broader Women Techsters initiative, currently implemented across 30 African countries to bridge the gender gap in technology.
Tech4Dev’s Country Manager for Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa, Abraham Akpan, said the programme is designed to deepen participants’ technical expertise, provide practical experience and position them for long term success in the digital economy. Head of Programmes, Blessing Bamidele, added that the initiative would equip women with the skills and confidence needed to compete for global technology opportunities.
The programme is open to women aged 18 to 40 residing in Ghana who are seeking to advance their careers in technology. Successful applicants will receive advanced technical training, mentorship, career development support and hands on experience to prepare them for opportunities in the tech industry.
