PalmPay has launched a new customer focused campaign, “PalmPay Dey For You,” aimed at strengthening confidence in digital financial services and reassuring millions of Nigerians about the security, reliability and accessibility of its platform. The initiative comes amid growing public attention to the safety of digital financial platforms and concerns among some users about transaction failures, unauthorised deductions and the handling of customer complaints.
At the centre of the campaign is PalmPay’s Security Centre, which provides customers with tools designed to give them greater control over their accounts and transactions. One of the features, Location Guard, allows users to designate up to six trusted locations and provides an additional layer of protection against suspicious activity from unfamiliar locations. Another feature, NightGuard, offers additional protection during periods selected by customers.
PalmPay is also promoting emergency measures that allow customers to quickly restrict access to their accounts or cards when their phones or cards are lost or compromised. The company has further introduced an in app Dispute Page through which customers can submit and monitor transaction complaints. PalmPay said the campaign would include educational content, frequently asked questions and customer engagement activities designed to improve awareness of fraud prevention and account security.
Speaking on the initiative, Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, Chika Nwosu, said trust remained fundamental to banking and that customers needed to know that the institution handling their money was regulated, secure and dependable. PalmPay operates under the regulatory oversight of the Central Bank of Nigeria, while eligible customer deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation. The company said the campaign reflects its broader commitment to embedding security and customer protection into its digital banking services as Nigeria’s fintech sector continues to expand.
