A new ₦8.5 million investment readiness program, PitchHer, has been launched to support female-led startups in Nigeria. The initiative aims to close gender gaps in entrepreneurship and provide women with access to funding and mentorship.

Organizers explained that PitchHer will equip participants with skills to attract investors, scale their businesses, and navigate Nigeria’s competitive startup ecosystem. The program is backed by local and international partners committed to gender equity.

Women entrepreneurs welcomed the initiative, noting that access to capital remains a major barrier to growth. They expressed optimism that PitchHer could help level the playing field in Nigeria’s tech sector.

Experts argue that empowering female-led startups is not only a matter of equity but also an economic necessity. Studies show that women-led businesses contribute significantly to job creation and innovation.
