ProjKonnect, an education technology company, has launched Gemnex App, an artificial intelligence powered academic platform integrated with WhatsApp to improve access to quality learning support for students in Nigerian universities. The platform is designed to address challenges such as overcrowded classrooms, inadequate lecturer to student ratios, rising internet costs, and weak digital infrastructure.
Speaking at the launch, the founder of ProjKonnect, Paul Ojo, said Gemnex was created to bridge learning gaps by giving students seamless access to academic resources and personalised support. According to him, the platform aims to democratise education by helping students better understand their courses and build confidence for future careers.
The company said Gemnex uses artificial intelligence to provide instant academic assistance, while its WhatsApp integration enables students to access learning support through a familiar and widely used platform, reducing barriers caused by unreliable internet connectivity and expensive mobile data.
ProjKonnect’s Partnership Manager, Onisabi Habeeb, said affordability and accessibility guided the platform’s development, noting that the WhatsApp integration allows students to seek course related assistance without worrying about high data costs or poor network coverage, making quality academic support more accessible across Nigeria.
