Yoco has acquired Dyner.ai as part of its strategy to expand artificial intelligence powered tools for small businesses across South Africa. The acquisition will allow Yoco to combine payments, software, financial services and AI driven operational tools for more than 200,000 merchants on its platform.
Co Founder and Chief Business Officer of Yoco, Carl Wazen, described the deal as a major strategic step aimed at helping SMEs improve efficiency and decision making. He said many small businesses continue to struggle with stock losses, fraud, weak cash flow visibility and inefficient operations despite contributing significantly to South Africa’s economy and employment sector.
Founded by Thalentha Ngobeni and Chris du Plessis, Dyner.ai developed an AI powered operating system that helps restaurant owners manage stock, invoices, suppliers, reporting and daily workflows. The platform also includes an AI assistant capable of analysing business data and providing operational insights in real time.
According to Wazen, the acquisition reflects Yoco’s ambition to move beyond digital payments into broader business management solutions. Ngobeni added that joining Yoco’s ecosystem would significantly expand Dyner.ai’s reach and accelerate access to enterprise grade technology for independent businesses and township entrepreneurs.
