Nigeria’s leading payments and financial inclusion dialogue platform, Payments Forum Nigeria (PAFON 3.0), will convene this Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki Road. The high-profile event is expected to bring together regulators, fintech leaders, banks, policymakers, agent networks, cybersecurity experts, innovators, and ecosystem stakeholders to chart the future of digital payments in the country.

With the theme “Fair Digital Payments as a Catalyst for Deepening Financial Inclusion in Nigeria,” the forum comes at a defining moment for the nation’s digital economy as stakeholders seek practical solutions to close the inclusion gap and strengthen trust in payment systems.

Unlike routine conferences, PAFON has positioned itself as a solutions-driven platform bridging policy conversations with market realities. According to co-convener Peter Oluka, the event uniquely convenes fintech operators, agent banking networks, cooperatives, payment innovators, cybersecurity professionals, and thought leaders under one roof to tackle challenges affecting Nigerians at the grassroots. Discussions will span digital trust, cybersecurity, agency banking, embedded finance, stablecoins, eNaira, SME growth, and healthcare financing, making PAFON 3.0 one of the most strategic gatherings in Nigeria’s payments ecosystem this year.

This edition will feature a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers and industry leaders, including Prof. Adewale Peter Obadare of Digital Encode and Dr. Jameelah Sherrief-Ayedu of FintechNGR. Other confirmed speakers are Dennis Ajalie of TeamApt Ltd.; Chika Nwosu of PalmPay Nigeria; Uche Uzoebo of SANEF Limited; Chike Onwuegbuchi of NITRA; Dr. Obioha Otti of AMMBAN; Mojeed Abayomi Agboola of FIAMCS; Ibirogba Oluwagunwa of AMMBAN Lagos Chapter; and Sarafadeen Atanda Fasasi of AFIAN. A special fireside chat, hosted in collaboration with Lagos Blockchain Week, will explore the future of digital currencies and regional interoperability under the theme “Stablecoins vs. eNaira: Orchestrating a Unified Digital Payment Rail for West Africa.”

Beyond panel discussions, attendees will experience product demonstrations such as the Myitura Healthcare Financing Solution, a townhall meeting on the state of agency banking in Nigeria, goodwill messages from leading institutions, and strategic networking opportunities. PAFON 3.0 is expected to attract C-suite executives, startup founders, regulators, investors, digital payment operators, development institutions, and policymakers eager to understand where Nigeria’s payment future is heading. The gathering underscores the growing importance of collaboration, innovation, and trust in driving financial inclusion across the country.
