In a major push to advance technological innovation and sustainable energy across Nigeria’s higher education landscape, Zinox Technologies Limited, West Africa’s leading ICT firm, has partnered with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND). The partnership was cemented during a high-level visit by the Zinox leadership team to TETFUND headquarters in Abuja under the theme, ‘Advancing Innovation for a Sustainable Future’.

Zinox’s delegation was led by its chairman, Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, and included top executives from the company. On the TETFUND side, Executive Secretary Sonny Echono, accompanied by senior management, hosted the team. The engagement centered on collaborative efforts to deploy renewable energy solutions and digital infrastructure across universities and polytechnics nationwide.

A key moment of the visit was a detailed presentation by Zinox Managing Director, Mrs. Kelechi Eze-Okonta, who showcased the company’s capabilities in ICT and renewable energy. She emphasized the urgent need for intentional policies that support indigenous technology as a catalyst for economic growth. Her presentation received high commendation from the TETFUND team, who lauded Zinox’s role in enhancing tech awareness and adoption across the continent.

In his remarks, Sonny Echono applauded Dr. Ekeh’s longstanding contributions to Nigeria’s digital advancement and expressed TETFUND’s readiness to collaborate with Zinox on scalable energy solutions. He noted that discussions were already in motion to formalize frameworks for equipping academic institutions with reliable power systems. The meeting signified a critical step toward transforming Nigeria’s tertiary education through cutting-edge ICT and sustainable energy, aligning with the nation’s broader vision for a digital and resilient future.
