MTN Nigeria has taken its Go Make A Difference (M.A.D) campaign to Calabar, urging Nigerians to leverage its 5G network for digital innovation and impact. The event, held on February 28, 2025, at Romaan Lounge, featured interactive sessions, success stories, and discussions on how technology can drive personal and professional growth.
Speaking at the event, MTN’s head of delegation, Gbenga Ogunmekan, explained that the Go M.A.D campaign is designed to inspire individuals to stand out in their respective fields. He said MTN is committed to providing an enabling digital environment for its customers to thrive and make meaningful contributions to society.
The campaign showcased success stories of individuals who have benefited from MTN’s connectivity. Dr. E Osim, a childcare practitioner and techpreneur, shared how MTN’s internet services supported his volunteer work with UNICEF in remote areas. Similarly, entrepreneur Joseph “La’Shakara” Edet recounted how MTN’s network helped him grow from a small fashion stand owner to managing multiple businesses.
Popular entertainer DJ 007 also credited MTN’s data services for his career growth, enabling him to work with brands like Budweiser and Hennessy while mentoring aspiring DJs. Their testimonies highlighted the role of digital access in fostering entrepreneurship and professional success.
The event concluded with prize giveaways and a closing remark from Chibuzor Akuchie, MTN’s manager of Sales and Trade Development, who encouraged attendees to apply the lessons learned.
