Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping industries and improving lives across the globe. All around us there are recognizable ways AI is helping to reshape the way we work, think and act. Remotework spoke with Alluvium’s AI Team Lead, Demi Odumosu, and Abdulqudus Oladega, AI Engineer and AWS Solutions Architect Associate. The duo shared their perspectives on AI’s current and future impact in an exclusive interview.

Both experts emphasized AI’s role in enhancing quality of life. “AI is transforming daily life, from personalized medicine to smarter planning and decision making,” said Oladega. “A wonderful feature of AI is how it automates mundane tasks which in turn allows people to focus more on creativity and innovation.”

Odumosu added, “AI integrates into essential services, making them more efficient and accessible. Imagine AI-driven agriculture which can ensure food sustainability for millions or predictive healthcare which can prevent diseases.”

However, they also highlighted ethical concerns, particularly biases in AI models, data privacy, and transparency. “Governments and organizations must prioritize accountability to build trust”, warned Odumosu.

Oladega highlighted the importance of setting up agencies to monitor the usage, especially with issues of identity theft and inordinate use of the tool for crime.

On global challenges, Oladega explained that AI is already helping to improve diagnostic accuracy in healthcare.” Odumosu also agreed, citing AI’s potential to bridge educational gaps through personalized learning.

AI in Service Management

AI is revolutionizing customer service and service management, offering speed, efficiency, and personalization. “AI-powered chatbots and predictive analytics enable businesses, especially banks, to provide instant, tailored responses to customers,” said Odumosu.

Oladega highlighted the role of automation in reducing human error and freeing up resources for more complex tasks.

Both experts cited examples of AI adoption, including e-commerce platforms using personalized product recommendations and healthcare providers employing chatbots for patient inquiries, and financial institutions employing AI for fraud detection.

For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), both agreed that AI is more accessible than ever. “Cloud-based AI services and pay-as-you-go models now make it possible for SMEs to integrate AI into their operations without breaking the bank,” said Odumosu.

Oladega noted that incorporating AI into customer service or inventory management can yield significant benefits. “AI helps businesses stay competitive by predicting trends and enabling innovation,” he said.
