Technology distributor TD Africa has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with indigenous manufacturer Zinox Technologies, in a move both firms say will strengthen Africa’s technology value chain and expand the footprint of locally made products to more than 40 countries across the continent. The agreement, unveiled at a joint media briefing attended by channel partners and industry stakeholders, positions TD Africa as the singular distributor of Zinox’s full product range in Nigeria, with extended coverage across key African markets.

Speaking at the event, the Coordinating Managing Director of TD Africa, Mrs Chioma Chimere, described the partnership as a milestone in the company’s mission to democratise access to technology across Africa. She noted that while many global brands often struggle with the peculiarities of local infrastructure such as unstable power supply, Zinox has consistently engineered products tailored to African realities, including consumer electronics, renewable energy solutions and enterprise devices designed to withstand fluctuating power conditions and harsh operating environments.

Also addressing participants, Ikenna Ekeh, Group Head, Computing Business at TD Africa, said the alliance represents a deliberate shift from manufacturing excellence to scaled market penetration, stressing that innovation without efficient distribution limits impact. According to him, the synergy between Zinox’s manufacturing capacity and TD Africa’s extensive logistics and channel network will ensure that technology products move seamlessly from factory floors to institutions, businesses and end users across diverse sectors of the economy.

On her part, Chioma Nwoke, Executive Director, Group Strategic Human Resources Management at Zinox Technologies, said the collaboration is anchored on expanding market access, boosting confidence in African technology brands and enabling scalability across fragmented markets. She added that the focus would cover digital education devices, enterprise computing systems, point of sale terminals, renewable energy products and consumer electronics, noting that local manufacturing not only drives digital transformation but also creates jobs and retains economic value within the continent.

Industry observers at the briefing described the alliance as a potential template for scaling indigenous innovation in Africa’s fast growing digital economy. Founded in 2001 by Leo Stan Ekeh, Zinox Technologies has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading integrated ICT solutions providers, while TD Africa has built a reputation for expanding the reach of both global and emerging brands. Stakeholders expressed optimism that the partnership would streamline product availability, strengthen support structures and reinforce the push for African built technology solutions to compete confidently on the global stage.
