A Nigerian software engineer based in the United Kingdom, Joshua Ajayi, is leveraging his experience in telecommunications and software development to help small and medium sized businesses in Nigeria manage their finances and regulatory obligations through a homegrown technology platform known as ZetaFisc.

Ajayi, who previously worked with major telecommunications companies including Globacom, 9mobile and Cobranet before relocating to the UK, co founded ZetaFisc alongside accountant and business consultant Fawekun Adeola Sunday and quality assurance specialist Miriam Ajayi. The cloud based platform was developed to address challenges faced by Nigerian businesses in accounting, payroll management, invoicing and regulatory compliance, areas where many enterprises still rely on manual processes.

Designed specifically for the Nigerian market, ZetaFisc integrates features such as automated tax calculations, payroll processing, bank reconciliation, audit trails and compliance tools aligned with local statutory requirements. The platform also incorporates payment services through Flutterwave and Monnify, while supporting businesses preparing for Nigeria’s phased e invoicing implementation. According to the founders, the solution aims to simplify compliance and improve financial management for businesses that often lack access to affordable enterprise software.

Beyond ZetaFisc, Ajayi has also developed ZetaFlow, a productivity and meeting intelligence platform that combines project management, task tracking, team collaboration and artificial intelligence powered meeting transcription. While both products target different challenges, they reflect a broader effort to build technology solutions tailored to the realities of African businesses. With growing adoption across sectors including media, travel and professional services, the founders believe locally developed software can play a critical role in supporting business growth and digital transformation in Nigeria.
