Africa Data Centres, a business of Cassava Technologies, has entered into a strategic partnership with Oni-Tel Fibre Networks to enhance connectivity across its facilities in Gauteng, South Africa. The agreement will see Oni-Tel deliver high-speed, low latency fibre connectivity to Africa Data Centres’ Midrand and Samrand campuses through its Infinity interconnection platform.

The collaboration is designed to provide customers with improved bandwidth capacity, secure carrier-grade performance, and resilient network infrastructure capable of supporting the growing demands of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data-intensive applications. Industry experts say such upgrades are increasingly critical as enterprises seek reliable and scalable connectivity within local data centre environments.

Chief Executive Officer of Africa Data Centres, Adil El Youssefi, said the partnership would enable businesses to access enhanced fibre infrastructure that supports innovation while maintaining secure and trusted digital environments. He noted that the move aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its service offerings and meet rising demand for robust digital infrastructure across South Africa’s economy.

On her part, Ellisha Gobind, Chief Commercial Officer of Oni-Tel, said the partnership would extend the company’s premium fibre interconnection solutions into key data centre hubs, offering ultra low latency connectivity and scalable capacity. Analysts note that the deal reinforces Africa Data Centres’ position as a leading interconnection hub on the continent, while expanding options for enterprises seeking high performance and reliable network solutions.
