OPay has strengthened its presence in Nigeria’s agricultural ecosystem following its participation as signature sponsor at the 11th Nigeria Agrofood International Trade Show, held from March 24 to 26, 2026, at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. The event brought together stakeholders across agriculture, food processing, packaging, and technology, serving as a major platform for investment discussions, innovation exchange, and value chain development.

Widely regarded as West Africa’s leading agrofood platform, the 2026 edition recorded its highest level of international participation to date, attracting over 100 exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals from within and outside Nigeria. The gathering reinforced the growing intersection between agriculture and technology, as stakeholders explored new pathways for improving productivity and market access across the sector.

Speaking during the event, OPay highlighted its commitment to advancing financial inclusion and supporting seamless digital transactions within the agricultural value chain. The company’s Director of Key Account and Merchant Acquiring Business, Sanni Saidi, delivered a session on how digital payment systems are reshaping operations for farmers, distributors, and agribusiness operators, with emphasis on speed, security, and transparency in financial flows.

OPay Chief Commercial Officer, Elizabeth Wang, also underscored the company’s broader strategy of building tailored Smart Business Solutions that go beyond payments to address operational challenges across sectors. According to her, the fintech firm is positioning itself as a long term partner for businesses by delivering tools that improve efficiency, strengthen operations, and support sustainable growth within Nigeria’s evolving digital economy.
