AI driven design platform Picsart has launched a new creator monetisation initiative aimed at empowering users to earn directly from their content, marking a significant shift in its evolution from a creative tool to a revenue enabling ecosystem. The programme, which is open to all creators without invitation barriers or minimum audience requirements, is designed to democratise earnings within the fast growing digital creator economy.
According to the company, participants are invited to produce original content using Picsart’s suite of tools for specific campaigns, share their work across social media platforms, and earn income based on audience engagement. Creators who sign up gain access to a dashboard featuring prompts and creative challenges, including projects powered by Picsart’s AI assistant, Aura, which enables users to generate and animate visuals through text or voice commands. Completed works are then published on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X, after which creators submit links and descriptions for evaluation. Earnings are tracked within the platform and paid out via Stripe.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Hovhannes Avoyan said the initiative is built on the belief that creativity and its rewards should be accessible to everyone, noting that many platforms have failed to adequately compensate everyday creators. With over 130 million users since its founding in 2011, Picsart’s latest move, alongside its recently announced AI agent marketplace, signals a broader strategy to deepen creator engagement and unlock new economic opportunities in the digital content s
