Elon Musk’s satellite internet service, Starlink, resumed normal operations for most users on Monday after a brief outage, according to tracking platform Downdetector.com. Reports of disruptions in the U.S. peaked at over 43,000 before falling below 1,000 by early morning. Starlink’s own website acknowledged the outage during the disruption but later removed the notice without offering details.

The service interruption was also reported to have affected Ukraine’s frontline in the ongoing war with Russia. Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s drone forces, said on Telegram that Starlink went offline across the battle zone at 07:28 local time before service gradually returned about 30 minutes later. Ukrainian forces rely heavily on Starlink for secure battlefield communication and drone operations.

Starlink, a project of Musk’s SpaceX, operates through thousands of low-Earth orbit satellites and has become a lifeline for internet access in remote regions and conflict zones. In Ukraine, officials estimate that more than 50,000 Starlink terminals are currently in use, underscoring the system’s strategic importance to the country’s military operations.

While the cause of the outage remains unclear, it marks another disruption in SpaceX’s global internet service. The company has not immediately responded to inquiries regarding the incident, raising questions over the reliability of a network that millions of users worldwide now depend on for connectivit
