Organised by KAOUN International in collaboration with Kenya’s Office of the Special Envoy on Technology and dx⁵, the event is scheduled for 19–21 May 2026 in Nairobi. With AI expected to contribute $2.4 billion to Kenya’s GDP by 2030 and create over 300,000 jobs by 2028, the event positions Kenya as a continental leader in AI and digital transformation.

As part of GITEX’s international portfolio, the event will become East Africa’s largest tech and startup gathering, uniting policymakers, private sector players, civil society, and innovators. Hon. William Kabogo Gitau highlighted the event as a testament to Kenya’s commitment to AI for economic inclusion and sustainable development, aligning with the nation’s digital master plans and economic transformation agenda. Dr. Korir Singoei, Kenya’s Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, emphasized the diplomatic importance of the event, linking it with broader goals of technology-driven international cooperation.

Special Envoy on Technology, Amb. Philip Thigo, described the event as a national milestone that reflects Kenya’s evolving global leadership in digital diplomacy and tech development. He commended President William Ruto’s leadership in leveraging innovation for inclusive growth and green industrialisation. The event not only positions Kenya as a trusted global tech convener but also as a hub for developing and exporting transformative, values-driven technologies tailored to Africa’s development needs.

With support from stakeholders like dx⁵ and DWTC, Ai Everything Kenya x GITEX Kenya will offer a curated programme centered on AI, agritech, cloud computing, cybersecurity, IoT, and sustainability. Featuring a global summit and a two-day exhibition, the event will catalyze investments, stimulate new partnerships, and bolster Kenya’s status as a leading digital economy. It reinforces the nation’s role in redefining global tech collaboration and advancing inclusive, tech-powered development across Africa.
