LOXEA Nigeria, a subsidiary of CFAO Mobility, has introduced BYD electric vehicles to the Nigerian market, marking a significant milestone in the country’s transition to sustainable mobility. The unveiling, which took place over the weekend at Alliance Francaise Ikoyi, showcased the BYD Atto 3 and BYD Dolphin models, making LOXEA the pioneer in bringing a renowned electric vehicle brand to Nigeria. The launch event, held under the stars, reinforced the company’s commitment to innovative mobility solutions tailored for the Nigerian market.
As a leader in electric mobility across Africa, LOXEA is not only introducing BYD electric vehicles but also ensuring the necessary infrastructure for their adoption. The company is providing charging stations, vehicle maintenance, repair services, and spare parts to facilitate seamless electric vehicle usage. During the event, 234 Drive presented the vehicles, highlighting their advanced technology and efficiency. LOXEA’s efforts extend beyond vehicle sales, as it plans to establish an inaugural charging station at its upcoming Victoria Island showroom while also offering home charging solutions.
In a strategic partnership, LOXEA collaborated with Pith Africa, an art outfit renowned for its creative storytelling and visual expression. Together, they developed the theme “It All Starts with a Naija Dream” to announce BYD’s entry into Nigeria, blending innovation, sustainability, and artistic creativity. Pith Africa also designed a striking cover for the BYD Atto 3, which was prominently displayed at the launch. The event emphasized the fusion of modern automotive technology with Nigeria’s evolving cultural and artistic identity.
Speaking at the launch, Managing Director of LOXEA Nigeria, Mr. Mehdi Slimani, expressed pride in the company’s role in advancing electric mobility in Nigeria. He noted that the forthcoming showroom in Victoria Island would serve as a hub for customers to explore BYD vehicles and experience the benefits of electric mobility. CEO of CFAO Mobility, Marc Hirschfeld, also underscored the importance of the launch, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive ecosystem to support electric mobility in Africa. With BYD leading the global electric vehicle market, LOXEA’s initiative signals a transformative step towards cleaner and more efficient transportation in Nigeria.
