MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, in collaboration with the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, has announced the commencement of applications for the fourth edition of the MTN Media Innovation Programme (MTN MIP-4).

The initiative, set to begin on May 19, 2025, at the university’s main campus in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, aims to equip media practitioners and content creators with deeper insights into the evolving media landscape.

Launched in 2022, the six-month fully funded certificate fellowship offers training to professionals in print, electronic, and digital media, including social media content creators. The programme features an international study visit to the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, providing participants with global exposure. MTN Nigeria’s Chief Corporate Services & Sustainability Officer, Tobe Okigbo, emphasized the programme’s success in enhancing media professionals’ understanding of the technology sector and its impact over the years.

The Dean of the School of Media and Communication, Dr. Ikechukwu Obiaya, who highlighted the programme’s role in developing a new generation of innovative media professionals equipped to navigate today’s rapidly changing media industry, reiterated the institution’s commitment to fostering creativity and ethical journalism through its extensive training expertise.

Upon completion, the 20 selected Fellows will gain in-depth knowledge of Nigeria’s technology sector, media-tech integration, and improved content creation strategies. They will also receive mentorship from experienced faculty members and access to professional resources. Applications open on Monday, March 24, and will close on Monday, April 7, 2025. Journalists, bloggers, and content creators are encouraged to apply.
