Ariston, a global water heating solutions leader, has partnered with Sensor Networks, a top South African smart geyser technology firm, to revolutionize energy efficiency in households across the country.

The strategic alliance, which follows months of product refinement and certification, will see Ariston geysers integrated with Sensor Networks’ smart geyser devices. These products will be available through major plumbing retailers in South Africa by 2025, promising enhanced energy efficiency and cost savings for consumers.

The collaboration between Ariston and Sensor Networks marks a major step towards improving energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and promoting energy independence in South Africa.

With this partnership, South African homeowners will benefit from Ariston’s high-performance water heaters equipped with cutting-edge smart technology from Sensor Networks. The integration aims to optimize energy consumption, lower insurance costs, and provide users with real-time control through the Sensor Connect mobile application.

Ariston’s Country Director, Wayne Vertue, reiterated the company’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. “As a global leader in water heating, we are dedicated to offering efficient, eco-friendly solutions. This partnership with Sensor Networks allows consumers to make smarter, sustainable energy choices effortlessly,” he said.

Mark Allewell, CEO of Sensor Networks, also emphasized the advantages of the collaboration. “By joining forces with Ariston, we can deploy our technology on a much larger scale. Our smart geyser solutions have been rigorously tested and certified, ensuring unmatched reliability. The Sensor Connect app will further empower users with digital tools for remote energy management, leading to significant monthly savings and a reduced carbon footprint,” he stated.

The introduction of Sensor Networks’ smart geyser device also presents new opportunities for property developers, enabling seamless, remote management of large residential and commercial buildings. Currently, over 12,000 South African households are using Sensor Networks’ smart geyser device. With this partnership, the adoption rate is expected to surge, strengthening Ariston South Africa’s position as the country’s second-largest water heating manufacturer.
