TD Africa Limited, a leading technology solutions distributor on the continent, has been honored with multiple prestigious awards at the Huawei Connect 2024 conference, further solidifying its position as a key player in Africa’s digital transformation landscape.

In a statement released by the company, TD Africa’s outstanding performance in after-sales support, distribution channel management, and dedication to skills development were recognized, earning it three major awards: Authorised Service Centre in Africa, Distributor Partner of the Year, and Training Partner of the Year.

These accolades underscore TD Africa’s role as a trusted partner and a driving force behind Huawei’s success across the African continent. Speaking on the company’s commitment to digital transformation, the Coordinating Managing Director at TD Africa, Chioma Chimere, emphasized the importance of collaboration in bridging the digital divide and advancing technological adoption in Africa.

Chimere highlighted TD Africa’s innovative “Technologies as a Service” initiative, which is designed to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to embrace digital transformation by converting upfront capital expenditures into manageable operational expenses. “TDAFRICA is committed to empowering Africa through these initiatives and more,” she said. “We will continue to drive our commitment to empowering individuals and businesses on the continent, making transformational technologies accessible, affordable, and usable.”

The Huawei Connect 2024 conference, which brought together experts and industry leaders, showcased a range of cutting-edge solutions unveiled by Huawei. These solutions, which span the public sector, finance, power, and intelligent services, include the Xinghe Intelligent Network Solution, Xinghe Intelligent Campus, Xinghe Intelligent Fabric, Xinghe Intelligent WAN, and Xinghe Intelligent Network Security.

Leon Wang, President of Huawei’s Data Communications Product Line, highlighted the advanced capabilities of these offerings, noting that they leverage AI technology and the Net5.5G target architecture to address the evolving needs of businesses in the intelligent era.

Throughout the two-day conference, experts delved into the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence and cloud technologies across various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, and manufacturing. The conference also served as a platform to call on African governments and employers to equip their workforce with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital age—a call exemplified by TD Africa’s ongoing efforts.

Panyaza Lesufi, the Premier of Gauteng Province in South Africa, echoed this sentiment, urging governments and businesses to embrace digital transformation through innovative solutions like those offered by Huawei to enhance service delivery and maintain competitiveness in the global market.

TD Africa’s recognition at Huawei Connect 2024 not only reflects its contributions to digital transformation but also reinforces its commitment to driving technological empowerment across Africa.
