TikTok has introduced a new feature, “Spotlight,” in collaboration with Warner Bros. This initiative aims to improve media discovery on the platform by linking videos to dedicated landing pages with detailed information about movies and TV shows.

Users can find synopses, cast details, and short video content, as well as options to stream, rent, or buy tickets for the featured titles.

Spotlight will be available initially to select studios and will reward creators who produce popular and relevant content with incentives such as exclusive profile frames, filters, merchandise, and even access to red-carpet events. Warner Bros. is already using the feature to promote the second season of “House of the Dragon,” offering special profile frames for creators participating in the campaign.

The feature builds on TikTok’s earlier efforts to serve as a marketing platform for entertainment, following successful promotions like those for “Dune: Part Two,” which generated significant user engagement. Spotlight reflects TikTok’s strategy to strengthen its role as a key player in media discovery, potentially challenging Google’s dominance in the space.
