Meta AI can be utilized in feeds, chats, and other areas across Meta’s platforms, and users can also access it directly on the web via meta.ai.
Initially available in English, Meta AI offers users a smarter, faster, and more engaging experience. “Meta AI is smarter, faster, and more fun than ever before,” the company stated, highlighting the capabilities of the Llama 3 model. The new text-based features on Meta AI are built on Llama 2, while the image generation tools leverage the latest Llama 3 technology.
To use Meta AI on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, users need to update to the latest versions of these apps. Meta has tailored the AI functionalities uniquely for each platform. On WhatsApp, users can ask for recommendations for activities or plan upcoming road trips. On the web, Meta AI can assist in creating multiple-choice tests or help with decorating a new home.
On Facebook, Meta AI is integrated within the feed, allowing users to ask questions about specific posts for more detailed insights. Additionally, Meta AI can generate images, create WhatsApp stickers, or retouch existing images.
Meta emphasizes that its AI tool has been developed with a strong focus on responsibility. The model has been trained with specific guidelines to ensure it provides helpful and safe responses, adhering to the company’s standards.
