Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Femi Odere, Ekiti State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Digital Economy, Mr Seun Fakuade, other prominent speakers and IT/Tech professionals from the United Kingdom and India will on November 30 converge on Ado Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State for Cloud Connect, which according to the organizers, Alluvium HQ, is the most anticipated tech event southwest of Nigeria.

Project manager, Oluwatise Afolabi, who heads the product office at Alluvium HQ, in an interview with Remotework said Cloud Connect will be hosting the largest convergence of Tech and IT professionals to discuss the gains of cloud migration, ITSM, DevOps and AI.

Afolabi said Cloud Connect is a milestone for the event organizers, Alluvium, which she stated has made a mark globally in Cloud Migration, DevOps and AI.

“Under the leadership of our CEOs, Taiwo Ojo and Wale Olojo, Alluvium has become one of the most influential IT/Tech companies offering services to major global companies remotely. Alluvium has just recently become a certified Atlassian partner. Atlassian is one of the largest cloud migration companies with incomes running into billions of dollars.”

“Atlassian has signed a partnership with Amazon Web Services. Right now the company is concerned with how these services can expand into the African continent. These stories will be told at the Cloud Connect. The aim is to inspire and engage our youths, especially the young ambitious tech enthusiasts.”

In her response to why Ado Ekiti was chosen for the event, Afolabi said Alluvium HQ had experimented with working remotely from anywhere in the world. She explained that the company wanted a conducive environment for it’s engineers to work and at the same time encourage young persons to benefit from the company’s programs, irrespective of status.

The idea was to use the founder’s home state as an experiment, which she said had greatly paid off. Especially with the take off of Alluvium University in Ekiti State.

“Ekiti has been touted to be the most educationally advanced state in Nigeria. This is what we’re trying to say to the world. We’re saying hey! we’re not only book intelligent, we’re coming to take our own share of the IT/Tech market and all the foreign exchange allocated to remote work. And we’ve begun.”

“At present an online portal has been opened where you can register to attend physically or virtually. It promises to be a total learning experience and we’re bringing the world to Ekiti State.”
