Moniepoint Inc., a leading digital banking and business payments platform in Africa, has been named one of the world’s top fintech companies by CNBC. This recognition, developed in collaboration with Statista, highlights Moniepoint’s remarkable contributions to financial access and inclusion across the continent, placing it among 250 global fintech trailblazers redefining the future of financial services.

Founded in 2015 by Tosin Eniolorunda and Felix Ike, Moniepoint has grown from Nigeria into a pan-African force, providing digital banking, payments, credit, and business tools to over 10 million users. The company processes over a billion transactions monthly, with volumes exceeding $22 billion—significantly supporting Africa’s informal economy and deepening financial inclusion.

Beyond Africa, Moniepoint is expanding globally through its new platform, MonieWorld, designed for Africans in the diaspora. Now active in markets like the UK, MonieWorld enables users to send money and access financial services seamlessly, marking Moniepoint’s first consumer-facing venture outside the continent.

This latest CNBC accolade follows a streak of global recognitions, including listings on TIME100 Most Influential Companies and the Financial Times’ Fastest-Growing African Companies for three consecutive years. Group CEO Tosin Eniolorunda described the honour as a testament to the team’s dedication to powering the dreams of millions of entrepreneurs and businesses across Africa and beyond.
