Honeywell has entered a partnership with Google to merge its industrial data platform, Forge, with Google’s advanced AI technology, Gemini.
This collaboration aims to automate tasks, streamline operations, and reduce project times for Honeywell’s customers, addressing labor shortages in the industrial sector.
The AI-powered tools will begin reaching customers in 2025, with applications designed to help engineers, warehouse workers, and technicians by automating tasks and improving efficiency. Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur emphasized the importance of smarter processes and increased asset productivity in the shift towards autonomy.
Built on Google’s Vertex AI platform, these tools will allow users to process data types such as images, videos, and sensor readings, with the goal of reducing maintenance costs and increasing operational productivity.
Honeywell also aims to upskill employees through this AI-driven initiative.
