A Project Manager and Human Resources Manager at the Alluvium HQ, Oluwatishe Afolabi, also known as Tishe, has shed light on the impressive growth and pivotal role of human resources in the success of the Nigerian-based tech firm, currently making waves globally, through a major expansion of its operations to the US, UK, Ghana, Kenya, and Cameroon, among other countries.

In a recent interview with RemoteworkBusiness Newspaper, Oluwatishe discussed the strategies Alluvium HQ has adopted to attract top talent from diverse locations and backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity.

Oluwatishe highlighted how technology has revolutionized their HR processes, making it easier to manage documentation, distribute tasks, and streamline the onboarding process as well as automation, playing a crucial role in enhancing efficiency and productivity within the HR department.

“As an Atlassian partner and Amazon Solution Partner, Alluvium uses tools such as Jira and Confluence to distribute, monitor, track, and evaluate employee performance on each task. These tools facilitate task management and provide valuable insights into individual and team performance. The use of advanced tools has streamlined many HR processes, making it easier for team leads to oversee projects and ensure efficient employee work. “

Tishe explained that this technological integration allows for real-time feedback and continuous improvement, essential for maintaining high performance standards.

“The use of technology has also been instrumental in identifying the strengths of each employee. Sophisticated HR software helps us track and analyze employee performance, enabling task assignments that align with individual strengths and this approach not only boosts employee morale but also enhances overall organizational performance.”

The HR manager shared that Alluvium’s growth strategy is deeply rooted in robust HR practices. “By leveraging technology, the company has created a dynamic and flexible work environment that attracts top talent. This technological integration extends to remote work capabilities, allowing employees to work from any location, thus broadening our reach for skilled professionals” She said.

The event also allowed Alluvium to discover tech startups needing support, aligning with their mission to foster innovation and growth in the tech ecosystem.”

 She described the experience as invaluable, providing market insights, understanding customer needs, and offering significant branding opportunities for the company.

On the use of technology in HR, Tishe explained that Alluvium has digitized all aspects of its operations, from recruitment to onboarding, streamlining processes, and training employees, saying that the digital transformation ensures an easy transition and workflow, enhancing overall efficiency and employee satisfaction.
