Social media platform LinkedIn experienced a brief outage on Wednesday, causing disruption for users worldwide.
The business-focused platform was inaccessible for some time, with over 48,000 reports of outages concentrated in the United States, according to Downdetector.com, a website that tracks online service outages.
LinkedIn acknowledged the issue earlier on Wednesday, stating that some users were encountering problems and that they were investigating the cause. Fortunately, the platform was back up and running within a few hours, with LinkedIn apologizing for any inconvenience caused.
This incident comes a day after Meta-owned platforms Facebook and Instagram experienced a similar outage that lasted over two hours, impacting millions of users globally. While the cause of Wednesday’s LinkedIn outage remains undisclosed, the swift resolution ensured minimal disruption for its users.
