Nigerian entrepreneurs and professionals have been encouraged to pursue globally competitive careers and businesses without necessarily relocating abroad. The message was reinforced at the first Nigerian edition of Limitless Without Borders, LWB 4.0 Lagos, held on August 15, 2026, at Queens Park Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The conference, organised around the theme “Building for Global Relevance,” brought together founders, professionals, creators, investors and business leaders to explore opportunities for taking Nigerian talent and businesses to the global market.
The event focused on the growing need for Nigerian entrepreneurs to develop the skills, visibility and networks required to compete beyond the local market. Founder of LWB and RKY Group, Rukayat Alabi, said the initiative was created to help people access the knowledge and connections needed to build successful careers and businesses from where they are. The Lagos edition therefore sought to shift attention from migration as the only pathway to global opportunity, while encouraging Nigerians to develop solutions and businesses capable of serving international markets.
A major attraction of the conference was the Limitless Launchpad, which provided emerging founders with an opportunity to showcase their businesses and compete for business support. The programme also featured keynote sessions, panel discussions, practical workshops, networking opportunities and discussions around international entrepreneurship, funding, wealth creation and career development. Participants were exposed to issues including access to grants, debt and equity financing, international business opportunities and pathways for positioning Nigerian businesses for global relevance.
The conference also demonstrated the growing interest in building stronger connections between Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and international markets. With more than 1,000 people reportedly attending the Lagos edition, organisers described the event as part of a broader effort to connect Nigerian talent with global opportunities while addressing challenges such as limited visibility, skills gaps and inadequate access to networks. The development reinforces the view that Nigerian founders can build and scale internationally from home when they have access to the right skills, technology, funding and global connections.
