Liberia is taking a major step toward modernising its education system with the introduction of TranscriptDove, a digital platform designed to streamline the issuance and verification of academic records. Developed by EdNova Group, the platform addresses long standing challenges associated with slow, manual transcript processing, which has often delayed opportunities for graduates and raised concerns over the authenticity of academic documents.
For years, universities across Liberia have relied on paper based systems that can take weeks or even months to complete transcript requests. TranscriptDove replaces this process with a centralised digital platform that allows students, institutions, and third party recipients, including employers and embassies, to request and verify academic records more efficiently. Users can submit applications online, track progress in real time, and receive digitally issued transcripts embedded with secure verification features aimed at reducing fraud.
According to the developers, the system creates a traceable process from the point of request to final delivery. Once a student initiates a request, designated officials at the institution review and approve it before issuing a secure digital transcript containing a unique verification link and QR code. The platform maintains a detailed audit trail, capturing each step with time stamps to ensure transparency and accountability, while also providing options for institutions with limited digital capacity to integrate through offline verification processes.
Founder of EdNova Group, Abraham Ernest Turay, said the initiative reflects a growing need to prioritise data protection within academic institutions. Lawmaker Taa Wongbe also described the platform as a practical solution to persistent inefficiencies that have constrained students, particularly those seeking opportunities abroad.
The company disclosed plans to collaborate with Liberia’s accredited higher institutions and expand the solution across West Africa, in line with a broader shift toward digital transformation in the region’s education sector.
