Globacom has expanded its digital entertainment lineup with four brand-new exclusive movies now streaming on Glo TV at no cost to subscribers. The company says the releases reflect its commitment to offering richer, more diverse content for millions of Nigerians who rely on the platform for high-quality home entertainment.
The new titles — Johnny Just Come (JJC), Eko Vibes, Bound, and Shifting Desire — feature some of Africa’s most respected actors and storytellers. According to Globacom, the films were carefully chosen to highlight a wide range of African experiences, from romance and comedy to deep emotional journeys and cultural reflections. The company also emphasized that these movies are not available in cinemas, on YouTube, or on any other streaming service.
Leading the new slate is Shifting Desire, starring Lilian Afegbai and Majid Michel. The film, which premiered on December 2, follows a couple fighting to rebuild their marriage through therapy, touching on themes of intimacy, betrayal, and healing. JJC brings a comedic twist with Patience Ozokwor and Nancy Isime as it tells the story of an American man trying to blend into an African family. Bound, featuring Rita Dominic and Eyinna Nwigwe, explores how buried secrets shape a woman’s life and relationships, while Eko Vibes captures the energy, humour, and ambition of Lagos youth through the performances of Broda Shaggi, Josh2Funny, and Nkechi Blessing.
Globacom says these releases are part of its broader mission to promote original African storytelling and make premium content more accessible. While Shifting Desire is already available, the remaining titles will debut during the festive season on the Glo TV app, which users can download from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Subscribers can watch movies, series, live TV, and exclusive content anytime, making Glo TV a growing hub for homegrown entertainment.
