A yet-to-be-announced Google Pixel 10 smartphone has surfaced in an unexpected leak, as a full commercial shoot for the device was spotted on a public beach in Vancouver. The video, shared by X user @MarksGonePublic, shows a professional film crew using advanced equipment—including a macro probe lens and a Panavision rig—to capture footage of an individual holding what appears to be the Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL. The shoot, done in plain sight, offered clear visuals of the device and parts of its promotional storyboard, all before any official word from Google.
The footage reveals a blue colourway for the Pixel 10, confirming at least one new variant. According to leaks from Mystic Leaks, the base Pixel 10 is expected in colours such as Obsidian, Blue, Iris, and Limoncello, while the Pro and Pro XL versions will add Porcelain, Sterling, Green, and Obsidian to the lineup. A captured storyboard also hints at a possible marketing tagline—“Ask more of your phone”—alongside a new camera feature called “Add Me,” which allows users to insert themselves into group photos after the fact.
Design-wise, the Pixel 10 continues with the signature black camera bar, now reimagined with a slightly more protruding oval shape. An expanded module area hints at a possible flash upgrade or a new sensor, pointing to Google’s continued push in smartphone photography innovation. These visible changes suggest that the Pixel 10 aims to advance its imaging capabilities while introducing novel features for users.
Though Google has yet to formally acknowledge the Pixel 10, the public nature of the shoot and visible marketing materials indicate that the launch campaign is already underway. With the Pixel 9 series having debuted in mid-August 2024, industry watchers expect a similar release window this year. Whether the beachside leak was a planned teaser or a slip in secrecy, one thing is clear—the Pixel 10 is on its way, and it’s not just another camera upgrade.
