Bharti Airtel’s digital subsidiary, Xtelify, has launched a new cloud optimisation platform designed to help Indian businesses slash their cloud expenditure by up to 40 per cent. The telecoms giant made the announcement on Monday, positioning the platform as a game-changer for enterprises grappling with spiralling digital infrastructure costs in a highly competitive market.

According to Airtel, the cloud solution will target small, medium and large-scale enterprises seeking smarter ways to manage their data and operations, offering seamless integration and advanced monitoring tools. The platform aims to deepen Airtel’s footprint in India’s rapidly expanding cloud services sector, which has seen a surge in demand across financial services, manufacturing and the startup ecosystem.

In a bid to widen its international reach, Airtel also revealed striking new strategic partnerships with Singtel of Singapore, Airtel Africa, and Philippines-based Globe Telecom. The alliance is focused on rolling out a newly developed Artificial Intelligence platform designed to support next-generation business applications across Asia and Africa.

Industry watchers say the dual push into cloud optimisation and AI underscores Airtel’s growing ambition to become a major technology solutions provider beyond traditional voice and data services. The move comes amid intensifying rivalry in India’s digital services market as telcos race to bundle cloud, AI and enterprise offerings for the country’s vast business community.
